Fiorella Carrazzone is a Language and Literacy Lead, NEASC Accreditation Coordinator, and secondary educator at The Garzón School in Maldonado, Uruguay. She is a translanguaging specialist and university professor at Universidad de Montevideo, where she teaches in the Master’s Program in Education.

Fiorella holds a B.A. in Education, a postgraduate degree in Bilingual Education, and a Master’s degree in Intercultural Bilingual Education. She is passionate about creating learning environments where multilingual learners can thrive by leveraging their full linguistic repertoires.

She works closely with teachers and school leaders to design inclusive, research-informed practices that strengthen literacy, foster student agency, and promote educational equity. Fiorella is an international conference speaker, having presented in Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, and most recently in Oxford, UK. She is also a teacher trainer and author.

Through her work, she advocates for reimagining multilingual classrooms as spaces where every language is recognized as a resource for learning, identity, and belonging.
